Delivery Driver – Job Responsibilities

• Provide GREAT customer service.
• Ensure invoice/order paperwork matches delivery requirements and checks for special instructions.  Include posters or signs if requested. Call the office with any discrepancies.
• Turn truck freezers on to cool down the temperature before loading.
• Load and organize product inventory from the warehouse into your truck/vehicle and unload products in and out of the truck as needed throughout the day. Makes sure doors are closed when exiting the vehicle.
• Double-check days route sheets and the product are loaded correctly.  Deliver goods to specific locations, collect signature and/or payment at delivery sites. (i.e.: Schools, Commissary, Foodservice or Special events.)
• Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times. Respond promptly to all customer inquiries, or communicate to the office staff for further assistance if necessary.
• Keep notes of customer interactions, comments, and complaints - Offer feedback to SICC management for improvements.
• Maintain all paperwork, and ensure it is in good order and given to office staff at end of shift with all payments received. (i.e.: Checks, money, or signature for receipt of goods.)
• Inspect delivery vehicles daily, make sure fuel levels are sufficient for the next day, and report any abnormalities to the driver supervisor.
• Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving immediately to the management staff.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies at all times.
• Accepts other duties as required or assigned.

Delivery Driver – Job Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Possess a valid driver’s license.
3. Excellent driving record and truck driving experience.
4. Physically capable of lifting 25 pounds plus comfortably.
5. Experience handling pallet jacks, and forklifts a plus.
6. Professional disposition for a pleasant customer service experience.
7. Approved Criminal Background Check – DPS Fingerprint-based
